Projects of the research unit
The research unit is organised in 10 projects which are located at the involved institutions:
- Project 1: Earth Rotation Information System: Development of a virtual Earth rotation system for geodetic and geoscience applications (ERIS)
- Project 2: Earth rotation and the ocean's circulation
- Project 3: Consistent post-Newtonian nutation series of a "rigid" Earth model
- Project 4: Mass motion in the Earth’s core and mantle and their influence on polar motion
- Project 5: Lunar Laser Ranging: Consistent modelling for geodetic and further scientific applications
- Project 6: Integration of Earth rotation, gravity field and geometry using space geodetic observations
- Project 7: Modelling of episodic-transient signals in measurements of large ring laser
- Project 8: Investigation of sub-daily and episodic variations of Earth rotation
- Project 9: Usability of time-variable Earth orientation parameters and gravity field coefficients from satellite missions for mutual validation and combined analysis
- Project 10: Long-term ERP time series as indicators for global climate variability and climate change (ERP-CLIVAR)
